Liao Ning Hong Cheng Electric Power Co., Ltd. was founded in 2011 and is based in Anshan, Liaoning Province, China. Hong Cheng is focused on smart micro-grid solutions for applications in utilities and industry, and provides integrated turn-key solutions to end users.
Hong Cheng brings their extensive experience in manufacturing, assembling and integrating energy storage solutions in to end-user applications, and is collaborating with the ISEM in the design and manufacturing of the S4 cells, packs and cooling systems.
Hong Cheng has experienced significant growth in its short history, with an annual turnover of $65 million in 2014 and an anticipated turnover of $180 million in 2015.
Hong Cheng has built a strong R&D team with more than 50 engineers, and the team has developed a number of smart micro-grid solutions for a wide variety of applications. Hong Cheng have undertaken a three-phase project to install solar panels on key sites near their main manufacturing facilities – including their own headquarters building, several local institutions and a shopping centre – with an anticipated 240 MWh generation capacity per annum. As part of this ambitious project, Hong Cheng is currently specifying, commissioning and installing a 100 kWh Li-ion based energy storage solution.
